The Official Coat of Arms of “The Black Powder Guild”
The Coat of Arms has been put together by an amazing Italian Artist who specialises in similar drawings – Biagio d’alessandro, who put up with my desired amendments without fuss!
The elements involved are the Cannons an obvious progression in warfare with the invention of Gunpowder, the Pirate Skull & Crossbones on the top of the Shield showing the dark side of the use of Blackpowder, St Barbara the Patron Saint of Explosives & Artillery, TNT, crossed old style pistols, the East India Company logo, who traded in Saltpetre along with Tea & Spices and were Established in 1600, the Explosive background a non brainer, Guy Fawkes 1600’s styled character carrying an old Bomb with ‘Fuze Burning!’ the lone wolf shows members of the Guild are not always Team members but can also act independently, carrying out any task on their own with stealth, cunning and ferocity… The Guild Established Date is 1605, the year of the Gunpowder Plot in London, also reflecting this is the particular ‘Union Flag of 1606’.
